The purpose of this department is to monitor the attendance of conferences, seminars, workshops and the like. A primary focus of the department is the implementation of conferences, seminars, and workshops attendance policies as set forth by His Excellency King Khalid University Rector, Prof. Falleh R. M. Al-Solamy. A secondary focus of the department is to ensure the requirements of holding conferences, seminars, and workshops within the university.
The main objectives of our unit include:
- Reviewing the applications for scientific participation;
- Preparing draft requests for scientific meetings;
- Assessing the needs and underlying the requests for attendance and obtaining copies of relevant publications;
- Reviewing documents from guests visiting from outside the Kingdom;
- Ensuring and verifying the identity of the speakers from within the Kingdom and collecting their contact information;
- Maintaining periodic reports of all attendance requests;
- Implementing the policies related to organizing the attendance of conferences, symposia, and the like;
- Providing statistical analysis of event participation;
- Contacting the relevant departments within the university to follow-up on the attendance requests.
